Fruit is one of nature’s best sources of nutrition that also contain a wealth of health benefits. Fruit also contains sugars that can increase your blood sugar levels and can eventually lead to obesity and even diabetes. So the question is how much fruit can I eat a day?

Fruit can be a delicious and nutritious addition to a healthy diet. A diet rich in fruit provides generous amounts of nutritional fibers, vitamins and minerals, but it’s important to remember that although fruit contains a ton of health benefits, they also contain a generous amount of simple sugars that can increase a person’s blood sugar level, triglycerides and elevate liver enzymes.

The USDA recommends that we eat 2 servings of fruit a day. Prior to start a weight loss program, you should make sure you consult with a certified dietician on determining the appropriate amount of fruit you can eat a day.

If you are a fruit lover who is trying to lose weight by eating fruit, then you should try eating a serving of fruit with breakfast and lunch. Try to add salad, whole grain bread, eggs, some dairy like yogurt or cheese in addition to your fruit.
