Carb Blockers – Pills that Block Carbs
Author: Josh Intanetto
Everyone is talking about carb blockers, carb blocking piss and if they actually do indeed prohibit the body from absorbing carbohydrates. Now, a few years ago there was a compound discovered by researchers. This compound was called Hydroxycitric acid (HCA). This compound actually did stop the transformation of carbohydrates into glucose.
Carb blocking diet supplements are indeed one of the best selling diet pills as many people are on low carb diets and want to cut down the amount of carbs in their diet. The benefits of carb blocking pills are that you do not need to be so concerned on the amounts of carbs you eat, now this doesn’t mean you have to go on a carb frenzy, but you can enjoy eat a meal light in carbs.
Originally scientists ran medical studies that showed successful progress, but no one tested the compound on humans. Without verifying the substance on human subjects, there was no way to see if the product would be as effective in humans. In the end, most HCA products didn’t produce the diet results need to make it to a diet pill. However, one product with HCA did show promise. A product called SuperCitrimax showed great progress in the area of weight loss, often being added to top weight loss pills and fat burners.
There has been a resurgence of carb blockers to the market containing “Phaseolus vulgaris” as the main active ingredient, although many carbohydrate blocking diet pills still contain HCA, on top of thermogenic ingredients like ephedra and caffeine (for a mixed effect of carb blocking and fat burning).
Carb Blockers – Myth or Fact?
In recent diet pill studies, Phaseolus vulgalis obstructs an enzyme called alpha- amylase, which breaks down starches (carbs) into glucose (sugar) that the body then absorbs. These studies show that Phaseolus Vulgalis can help people lose weight and even lower triglycerides in the blood
What exactly does this mean for you? It doesn’t mean that you can eat high carb foods with without consequences (I bet you were ready to dial the local pizza joint before taking your pill).
A recommended carb blocker however is green tea as green tea inhibits the enzyme called amylase. This enzyme is critical in the breakdown of starches. These starches can cause blood sugar levels to rise after a high carb meal.
Green tea offers huge amounts of health benefits as well as a natural supplement for weight loss as well as organic green tea is full of antioxidants too.
