Due to the fact that kickboxing is such a good weight loss workout, there have been thousands of fitness gym’s that have placed a kickboxing class for the cliental. On top of being an amazing workout, kickboxing teaches you how to properly defend yourself from attacks on the street.
Weight Loss Benefits of Kickboxing
If you were to look for the perfect weight loss workout, then you probably would see kickboxing near the first place as kickboxing works the cardiovascular system extremely hard and has been show to burn between 800 to 1000 total calories an hour (depending on the size of the individual participating in the class, the bigger the person the more calories burned). If done 3 times a week, you should see some great weight loss results as well as toned muscles.
The reason kickboxing burns so many calories is because there is an extreme amount of body movement involved, kicking legs, raising knees, moving arms and jumping around with spurts of explosive power. All this movement builds up amazing coordination and a rock hard set of abs.

When you kickbox for a while, you will notice that you can take a punch and give one back if need be, this creates a sense of confidence as you know how to properly defend yourself from anything thrown at you.
