You’ve probably heard that eating raw foods will help you lose weight and gain better overall health. Eating raw foods like salad, fresh fruit, nuts and honey can really help give your body the nutrients and vitamins it needs to become strong and healthy.

The first reason you should be eating more raw foods is that when you cook foods like vegetables, you can lower the overall total amount nutrients they contain as various cooking methods are known to lower nutritional levels in food. Not only will cooking food destroy the vitamin and mineral content, overly cooking foods can actually lead to certain diseases such as cancer.
This usually happens due to the fact that cooking foods at high temperatures can rapidly increase the amounts of carcinogens that the food contains. These carcinogens can greatly increase a person’s chances of developing cancer.

On top of lowering overall nutrition levels, raw fresh food is generally free of mold and can be relatively concern free in regards to protecting yourself from eating moldy foods.
If you are trying to find a way to cook without making a huge mess then eating a diet full of raw foods will be a great idea as when preparing raw foods, there is very little waist other than peels, seeds and skin. Basically, preparing raw food is extremely easy and a hassle free cooking method.

There have been many serious medical studies done on the overall effects of eating raw foods. Diets full of vitamin rich raw foods have been shown to help improve health in those suffering from serious diseases, the reason being that by controlling the way a person’s food is prepared, there is an elimination of carcinogenic and fat that could ultimately lead to serious illness and even early death.
Does this mean that you should only be eating raw foods?  No, not at all, what this diet article does convey is that adding a substantial amount of raw foods to your daily diet will help your overall health and even help lose weight too.
