Ingredients for a High Energy Lifestyle

Are you feeling tired all the time? Do you feel like you never have enough energy? Here are some great tips to get the most energy out of your day.
- Get physical
Sure, we all like to laze around from time to time, but a sedentary lifestyle is an energy killer. If your job isn’t physical, moderate exercise will increase your body’s ability to run at optimum levels.
- Focus on breakfast
Forget the coffee and Danish pastry, and try cereal with fruit and semi-skimmed or skimmed milk instead – the protein and complex carbohydrates will keep you going much longer.
- Know your energy cycle
Some of us are best in the morning and others at noon. Do the day’s more daunting tasks in your peak energy period.
- Recharge your battery with sex
Not exactly a romantic reason for intimacy, but having regular, good sex – including a generous dose of cuddling – can energize and restore both you and your partner.
- Pursue your passion
You say that when you’re bored you tire more easily? Welcome to the club. When you enjoy something, chances are you’ll find the energy for it. If the job doesn’t exactly provide a thrill a minute, leave time in your day for things to do.
- Take five
Our work days are often organized in large blocks of time, but we actually function better when taking periodic breaks. If your energy flags at work, stand and stretch for a few minutes, or go and wash your face.
- Get you head down
A good night’s sleep is an obvious but basic ingredient of a high-energy lifestyle. People’s sleep patterns differ, but you can’t teach yourself to need less sleep than you naturally require. Also, sleep should be as sound as possible to maximize its rejuvenating effects. Quality as well as quantity is important.
- Decline the drink
Alcohol is a depressant that can produce drowsiness. If you’re having a fatigue problem, give up the booze for a while and see how you feel.
Make sure to follow these energy tips in order to feel more energy throughout the day.
