Are you a couch potato that wants to lose weight while watching your favorite soap opera?
If so, this may be the best lazy workout you have ever stumbled upon. When watching TV, you should know that there are times when you can do a quick set of exercises; this should be done during the commercial breaks. Every time there is a commercial break, get up off the couch and pump a set or two of a certain bodyweight workout, after a few hours of watching television you would of burned a few hundred calories more than just sitting there like a big potato.

Working out while watching TV is an excellent way to burn fat, as most people use the excuse “I don’t have enough time to work out” now you can never use that excuse again because when it comes to working out for your health there is always time. A great way to look at working out is that doing something is always better than nothing.


Here is the Couch Potato workout plan:

Commercial #1 – 10 pushups, 10 situps, 20 jumping jacks
Commercial #2 – 10 free weight squats, 20 jumping jacks, 10 side kicks (5 each side)
Commercial #3 – 20 Jumping jacks, 10 pushups, 20 straight punches on each side
Commercial #4 – 10 situps, 10 lunges (5 a side), 20 jumping jacks
Commercial #5 – 10 pushups, 10 squats, 10 situps
Commercial #6 – 50 Jumping jacks
Commercial #7 – 20 jumping jacks, 20 situps

If there are any other commercial breaks, make sure to repeat the workout again, you will also need to stretch afterwards to make sure you muscles recover quickly.

On a serious note, is you are ready to lose even more weight when watching TV, try joining you local gym, just make sure they have cardio machines with individual television sets, that way you can watch all the TV you want and burn some serious calories. This will help you keep up with your favorite shows and lose weight too.

If you need to munch on some snacks while watching TV, try cutting up some fresh vegetables as they are an amazing low calorie snacking choice as well as they are full of healthy vitamins and minerals to help you get healthier. Eating vegetables will make you full faster thus helping you to avoid eating fat snack foods and lose more weight.

So next time you are going to watch TV, wear a pair of workout clothes as TV time can now be a fun and interesting workout where you can burn calories and lose weight.
