Why should I try an Alkaline Diet?

Many dieticians believe that going on an alkaline diet can help prevent many chronic diseases as well as help  increase energy, prevent colds and the flu and increase a person’s immune system.

If you find yourself suffering from low energy, chronic fatigue, nasal congestion, stress, anxiety, excessive mucous production, formation of cysts, headaches, joint pain, arthritis, muscle pains, neuritis, hive, acid indigestion or leg cramps then you may want to look into going on an alkaline diet.

What is the logic behind the alkaline diet?

Basically the alkaline diet is similar to how our ancestors ate. Our ancestors consumed a diet which was much different than most of us follow today, based upon unprocessed foods mostly coming from gathering, hunting and fishing. Our blood is slightly alkaline, and by eating a diet based upon whole unprocessed foods, we can keep our blood on a slightly alkaline level.
Many famous athletes have tried the alkaline diet, one of the greatest alkaline diet successes was Randy Couture the former UFC champion, who gives much regard to his alkaline diet in keeping him healthy and strong for his fights.
An alkaline diet should be given by a proper diet professional as it is a complex diet program that needs to be only given to people who need it.
